The heavy cargo couldn’t be moved by road and there were no suitable scheduled flights, so we recommended an aircraft charter to our client as the fastest solution.
Utilising our local contacts, we quickly sourced a 737-800 Boeing Converted Freighter, which was ideal for the sizable payload and could fly the route non-stop.
As the closest arrival airport didn’t have the right equipment to offload the aircraft, we opted for a larger airport and arranged trucking to get the cargo from there to the coast.
On the day of the charter, the cargo was loaded using a main-deck loader and departed in good time, arriving at its final destination on schedule for the marine recovery to commence.
